"Just Listen To Yourself: Louisiana's Poet Laureate Presents Louisiana Poets": our annual poetry reading program to celebrate National Poetry Month is Wednesday, April 1 at noon at the State Library. Take a break from the noise and come enjoy readings by noted Louisiana poets at this free, in-person program. More details here.

Staff Day 2026 (April 7 Baton Rouge, April 9 Ruston) gives public library staff an opportunity to participate in a variety of trainings reflective of current library trends, while networking and learning with peers from across the state. Learn more and register here.
